Our residents’ medication and clinical needs are addressed 24 hours/7 days a week in order to ensure Doctor’s Orders are administered professionally and as prescribed. Our residents have 24-hour access to our Registered Nurse (RN), either by phone or physical visit when needed.
- Medication and health assessment for each resident is performed every 45 days or as necessary.
- Open access for the resident’s Physician to visit the resident when medically required to visit, either planned or emergency visits.
- If a condition warrants a medical specialist, an appointment is made; transportation with a companion is arranged if a family member is not available.
- Medications are dispensed by certified staff who ensure the practice of professional medical ethics compliance.
- Eye, foot, and dental care are scheduled as required by the resident’s physician.
Levels of Care
Level One is defined as Moderate Assistance, which includes the following:
- Individual Service and Care Plan
- Personal Care from Trained Staff
- Available 24 Hours a Day
- 45 Day wellness assessment by licensed Nurses
- Medication Administration
- Assistance with preparations for dressing, grooming, and showering.
- Monitoring of Nutritional Needs
- Reminders for self-managed incontinence
- 24-Hour security and emergency call system
- Personalized Care Management
- Three appetizing and nutritionally balanced meals each day and healthy snacks.
- Social, educational, and recreational activities, plus a low-impact & fun exercise program
- Daily Housekeeping, Laundry, and Linen Service
Level Two is defined as Enhanced Assistance, which includes all Level One Services plus the following:
- Physical Assistance with Dressing and Grooming
- Physical Assistance with showering every day or at least three times per week.
- Physical Assistance with Management of occasional incontinence
Level Three is defined as Extended Services, which include Level One and Two services plus the following:
- Frequent Care for incontinence, including additional housekeeping and laundry services.
- Nighttime safety checks as needed, Physical Assistance with mobility/history of falls
- Wound Care Services
- Diabetes Management Services
Sunny Springs Assisted Living is licensed by the State of Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene and by the Office of Quality Care to provide services from Levels I to III.
